Matt and Darlene and their kids Ella and Earl have been attending Newmanstown UC since 2020. Prior to that, they had been members at the Annville church where they taught Jr. High Sunday School. Matt sensed a calling to the ministry to serve his employer,the City of Reading Fire Department as a Fire Chaplain. Currently Matt is licensed by the annual conference, and serves as a Fire Chaplain to the city, and as Assistant Pastor for Newmanstown UC.

Matt has attended Evangelical Seminary's Institute of Church Leadership, a three year ministry training program. Matt's gifts include teaching (he has a degree in education), leadership, and he has a heart for evangelistic work. He enjoys empowering people to serve the Lord through their gifts, and growing the church through building connections with other people. Matt also loves Cleona Campmeeting, and you will find him there whenever it is open.

Darlene enjoys music and plays the harp during the worship services on special occasions. She also likes to help with the Sunday morning childrens church.
